LabMakelaar Benelux B.V. strives for a world with a strong circular economy. Our ambition is that it becomes natural to reuse laboratory equipment and furniture (upcycling). Because in upcycling, unlike in recycling, the materials are not yet separated, but the product as a whole is reused. The same product, used again.
A circular economy also aims to reuse products while maintaining quality and value in an endless flow. Fewer raw materials are then needed for production, costs are saved, the flow of residual waste is reduced, and environmental awareness is maintained.
With this, Labmakelaar Benelux wants to be seen within the laboratory furnishing industry as an ambassador of upcycling. To furnish the laboratory, people first look for the necessary equipment within the circular laboratory supply. If it is not available circularly, only then will one look for new.
Like corporate social responsibility, socially responsible procurement, also known as sustainable procurement, is also important. This means that in addition to paying attention to the price of the products, services or works, we also consider the effects of procurement on environmental and social aspects. Procurement is an effective tool for making an impact. From climate and environment to diversity and inclusion. We face many complex social issues in the Netherlands that are crying out for a solution. Solutions we need to work on now for a better world in the future. To reinforce our ambition, we have officially joined the Manifesto for Socially Responsible Procurement or as we say in Dutch; Manifest Maatschappelijk Verantwoord Opdrachtgeven en Inkopen (MVOI).
