We are very excited to announce our newest customer on board: Camden Town Brewery.
Camden Town Brewery opened in Enfield on July 2017 as the largest investment in London’s brewing industry for three decades. The Enfiled facility is not far from the brewery’s home in Kentish Town, where the brand was founded by Jasper Cuppaidge in 2010 and the home of its flagship brew – a 4.6% unfiltered lager, Camden Hells. The brewery opening follows the acquisition of the London-based brewer by ABInBev in 2015, which enabled its development and will allow it to further expand its international operations. The new site has allowed the brewer to expand its production to 400,000 hectolitres a year. The new Enfield brewery produces all of Camden’s core beers including Camden Hells, Camden Pale Ale, Gentleman’s Wit, Camden Pils Lager, IHL Lager and Ink Stout, and will also be used as a test site for innovation, specials and collaboration beers.
Camden Town Brewery chose to integrate the LIMS system early in the Laboratory process development. Tests were run by the Laboratory using manual processes to record the results as Camden did not have a LIMS system at the time of procurement. A manual system, however, was not ideal for the management of the entire laboratory work. The main requirement for Camden was to manage the constant flow of data coming from the three distinct phases: Brewing, Post Processing and Packaging. To manage all laboratory activities, it was therefore necessary to computerize the Central Laboratory in order to improve all the production and processing of the beer.
After careful analysis, Eusoft.Lab LIMS was chosen for the laboratory management. It was selected as the most appropriate to the specific needs of the company for ISO 17025 accreditation. They chose a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution on Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform.
