Since the coronavirus is spreading rapidly, China faces a shortage of test-kits. Mimi Lau, a reporter at the South China Morning Post tweeted that the shortage in test kits are delaying diagnosis and patients at major Wuhan hospitals with fever symptoms have likened test kit access to winning the lottery.
