Tosoh Bioscience is proud to announce the 30th anniversary of its European subsidiary as a premier provider of chromatographic solutions for the industry. This jubilee stands for three decades of expertise, exceptional products and services in biochromatography applied in analytics and downstream processing.
Tosoh Bioscience GmbH was established in July 1989 in Stuttgart, Germany, under the company name TosoHaas GmbH (a joint venture between Tosoh Corporation, Japan and Rohm and Haas, US) with the aim of better serving European customers in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries with TSKgel® analytical HPLC columns and Toyopearl® separation media. Over the years Tosoh Bioscience has become a leading solution provider. The year 2015 marked an important milestone with the centralization of offices, presentation and laboratory facilities in Griesheim, Darmstadt.
Recently, Dr. Christian Rohrer has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director. He has strong confidence that Tosoh Bioscience is well prepared for the years to come: “Some upcoming transformations in our industries have not yet been identified. Therefore, flexibility and an ability to be able to react to the unexpected is important for global companies to guarantee resilience in the future. Over the years, many successful product introductions broadened the portfolio, such as mixed-mode, antibody affinity, and salt-tolerant ion exchange resins with outstanding binding capacities. Latest (U)HPLC column innovations are related to antibody characterization by affinity and UHPLC solutions for SEC.
Tosoh has a long and successful history in manufacturing instruments for gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and in 2008, Tosoh Bioscience started to market the instruments in Europe. The GPC line encompasses the compact EcoSEC® and the EcoSEC-HT, a high-temperature GPC system. The year 2020 will see further exciting moments with the launch of the next generation GPC system, EcoSEC Elite, and of a revolutionary Multi-Angle Light Scattering Detector, LenS3.
