Suurmond, marking its 50th year, excels in process industry solutions, emphasizing gear pumps and innovative systems, fostering synergy and uniqueness.
This year Suurmond celebrates its fiftieth anniversary! Mr W. Suurmond founded his company in Nunspeet on the 21st of December 1973 and started operating in 1974.
It all started in 1974 with the commercialization of custom designed gear pumps. Over the years, Suurmond developed into a process industry specialist with customers such as Shell, Akzo Nobel and DSM, as well as innovative start-ups.
Today, gear pumps still play a key role and are increasingly used as a part of complete (dosing) systems. These systems are developed in close cooperation with the customer, our (sales) engineers and our partners.
Three more offices were opened, and the portfolio was expanded over the years. In the eighties, for example, reactor systems were added. What’s great about the portfolio is that it opens up opportunities for synergy: for example, Suurmond develops systems that combine reactors and dosing systems for new plastics recycling processes.
Our approach is always centred around finding the best solution for the desired process. Suurmond has a high level of technical expertise, and our commitment to the highest quality standards always adds extra value for the customer. Our employees are continually challenged due to the uniqueness of every project.
We are therefore extremely proud to celebrate a 25-year jubilarian for the 3rd year in a row! Our engineer Harry Westerink has been with Suurmond in Nunspeet for 25 years and counting.
Working in the field of technics is always exciting due to the diversity and challenges it presents. At Suurmond, we take pride in finding and developing simple solutions to complex problems. Our work involves contributing to solutions for plastic recycling, developing new materials, and improving product quality.
5 January 2024 marked the kick-off at our workshop in Nunspeet. A party for invitees!
