RNA Solutions is the platform that offers services on the revolutionizing study of RNA, targeting both coding and non-coding RNAs of different physiological functions. The scientists at CD Genomics are ready to help detect various types of RNA via meticulous and integrative approaches. These days, the product manager announced mRNA-Seq services for the identification and comparison of gene expression levels between groups.
Messenger RNA (mRNA) is an RNA transcript that corresponds to the genetic sequence of a gene and directs protein synthesis in the cell. Eukaryotic mRNA sequencing (mRNA-Seq) uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology to reveal the expression profile of mRNA in a given biological sample and the differential gene expression between sample groups. It is very suitable for drug therapy, behavior selection, identification of cell responses to viruses, and disease-related research.
mRNA-seq provides a clear, complete, high-resolution view of the coding transcriptome, including detection of known and new transcription subtypes, identification of gene fusion events and other characteristics, and gene expression analysis by measuring transcript abundance. Compared with whole-transcriptome sequencing, which sequence all coding and non-coding transcripts, mRNA-seq focuses on coding RNAs, which account for approximately 2% of the entire transcriptome and contain a poly-A tail. mRNA-seq provides a comprehensive picture of the encoded transcriptome without prior knowledge and is superior to gene expression arrays and other methods.
