The purpose of a peristaltic pump is to pump fluids from A to B. This type of pump has been used for many years in a wide range of analytical devices to pump sam-ples or reagents into the device.

Increasing automation in the laboratory has led to a demand for easy-to-operate pumping systems that do not require pressure to be set individually. In the new EasyClick pump from Spetec the tube is placed in a compact unit that can simply be clicked into place. A spring mechanism automatically adjusts the pressure applied as the tube wears.
By means of the tube, peristaltic pumps are suitable for continuous operation of liq-uids. Hence, the fluid does not come into contact with moving parts.
Depending on the size of the pump head a peristaltic pump can be fitted with one to five channels. For low-pulsation and continuous pumping a high number of rollers is required. Quantities ranging from µL/min to L/min can be pumped in line with the size of the pump head and the tube diameter.
Spetecs’ in-house design department adapts the pump to match customer needs.
